The location in north holland provides a great mix of sea, nature and culture.

The Shops in Holland are open seven days a week. Grocery shops are located in the next towns and cities and accessible by bike and car (e.x. Schagen and Callantsoog, 7 – 10km). Everything you need to shop is nearby and Alkmaar is only 20km far. Huis Gudea 21 invites to spend your holiday at the beach and afterwards dive deep into the culture of Holland by taking a trip to Alkmaar and Amsterdam.

Several museums (marine), harbours and bird species exist in the region. Therefore north holland is also a good place for ornithologists. The next train station is in Schagen, from where you can take a train through the whole country (e.x. 2,5h to Rotterdam). You can also do a trip to the Ijselmeer, Den Helder or the island Texel. At Texel there is a seal breeding station which is also worth a visit. (Link to seal station)
